Palestinians held demonstrations against illegal Jewish settlements in many parts of the West Bank, especially in the village of Beit Decin in the northern West Bank city of Nablus.
Israeli forces responded with rubber bullets and tear gas, while Palestinians responded by throwing stones.
8 Palestinians injured
According to the hospital sources of the Palestinian official news agency Vafa, 8 Palestinians were injured by rubber bullets during the intervention of the Israeli forces to the demonstrations.
It was stated that many people, including journalists, were also affected by the gas.
Jewish settlements considered illegal
There are more than 250 illegal Jewish settlements in the West Bank, which Israel occupied in 1967. Nearly 500,000 Jewish civilian occupiers residing in these places make life even more difficult for Palestinians living under occupation in the West Bank.
Under international law, all Jewish settlements in the occupied Palestinian territory are considered illegal.
