Headlines from President Erdogan’s speech are as follows:
Last week we went to New York to consult at the UN 76th meeting.
In our meetings, we had the opportunity to share our country’s basic approach to the whole world. With the objection that the world is bigger than 5 for a long time, we took the changing demand in the global management system one step further with the demand for a better world is bigger.
It is, of course, difficult for those who do not intend to give the world’s call for justice to show different approaches to health and climate crises. These crises affect everyone without affecting the rich-poor criterion.
As Turkey, we take a stance that expresses the common feeling of all humanity with ourselves in this photograph. Our findings about our region and the world are much better understood. Those who were unconcerned with our objections to the distortions in the global system yesterday started to make the same objection today.
Despite its structural deficiencies, we still see the UN as the most important platform to solve the common problems of humanity. To this end, we will continue to fight for a fairer and more inclusive UN structure.
It is the command of our civilization and our history to want security and prosperity for our own citizens, for all our brothers, for the whole world. We strive to make it the common roof of all humanity in the world of the future. We will continue to tell this on every platform. We wish this process to be completed before it’s too late for all of us.
“We are taking a historic step on climate change”
We also opened the building of our new Turkish house. Our new Turkevi building, which we laid the foundations of 4 years ago with a height of 36 floors and a closed area of 20 thousand meters, has already become one of the symbols of the city with its magnificent tulip-shaped structure.
In my address at the UN General Assembly , we shared a very important good news for our country with the whole world . We are taking a new and historic step on the Climate Issue, which is the natural outcome of the green development revolution. It is among the countries that have ratified the Paris Climate Agreement.
With the recent developments and the commitments made to our country, we have decided to approve this agreement next month. I wish that this decision, which we announced at the UN, will be beneficial for our country and the world. Hopefully we will have completed the approval process by November.
In fact, we have taken an important step in this regard by preparing the action plan necessary for harmonization with the EU green agreement. This new path we are on represents one of the sharpest choices Turkey has made in the Republican era.
