Headache Prayer Turkish, Arabic Recitation and Meaning
The life guide of Muslims, Hz. Muhammad ‘alaihis-salam recommended the following prayer to be recited for headaches (Tirmidhi-tib, 2075): “In the name of Almighty Allah, I seek refuge in Allah from the evil of every vein that aches (on my head) and from the damage of hell fire.”
“Arabic Pronunciation: Bismillahir kebir neuzubillahil azimi min sharri race neaarin ve min sharrin harrin-narin.”
The surah known as Huvallahüllezi is also a cure for headaches. The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) states that this surah is “healing for many diseases except death”. In some narrations, it is stated that the previous verse should be read together. The pronunciation of this surah is as follows:
“ Huvallahüllezi la ilahe illa hu. Alimul gaybu veşşehadeh hüverrahmanürrahim.
Huvallahüllezi la ilahe illa hu, al-Malikül Kuddusuz Selamul Mü’minul Müheyminul Azizul Cabbarul Mütekabbir. Subhanallahi amma yushrikuun.
Huvallahül halikun bariul musavviru lehül esmaul husna. Yusebbihu lehuma fissamavati vel ard. And huvel azizul judge.”
The Meaning of Surah Huvallahüllezi:
“He is such (great) Allah that there is no god but Him. He knows the invisible (with the eye) and the seen (with the eye). He is the most forgiving, the most forgiving.”
“He is such (great, exalted) Allah that there is no god but Him. The owner of the property (of everything) is extremely (sacred) holy, delivers (consumers), gives trust, sees (and at the same time) watches over, is superior, is tough, has no partner in size (unmatched). Allahu Teala is free from what the polytheists associate partners with.
He is the Creator, the Maker, and it is Allah (u ta’ala) who gives shape. The most beautiful (most perfect) names belong to Him. Those who are in the heavens and the earth glorify Him (dhikr). He is (extremely) superior, He is (extremely) wise.”
What are the Prayers to Read for Headaches?
When we follow the advice of our Prophet (peace be upon him), we attain the consent of Allah. When the prayers to be read for headache are read continuously, it will be seen that the headache is gone. For this, a person should pray and stay away from musical instruments. Our Prophet (peace be upon him) commands: “The person who listens to music with an instrument will have lead poured into his ear in the hereafter”.
Nas, Felak, Ayet-el Kürsi, Fatiha, the last four verses of Surah Hashr, Surah Yasin and Surah Bakara can be read for headaches. These surahs are healing for all diseases. In a story narrated in Hayatus Companions, it is rivaled that a group of Companions were captured in a tribe, the chief of the tribe fell ill in the meantime and these Companions cured the chief of the tribe by reciting the ‘Fatiha’ Surah. It is rumored that the chief of the tribe gave a small flock of sheep as a reward and donated his freedom.
