According to the statement made by EGM; Simultaneous inspections were carried out across the country on the use of motorcycles and mopeds on 10-11-12 September in order to ensure traffic safety and prevent accidents due to rule violations.
While 27 thousand 666 motorcycle and motor bike drivers were checked, it was determined that 841 drivers were driving without a document.
It has been determined that 346 motorcycles do not have valid compulsory financial insurance, 3,402 drivers and passengers do not use protective helmets, and 172 motorcycles and motor bikes’ registration certificates and plates are not in proper condition.
While 617 motorcycles and mopeds were banned from traffic, 71 driver’s licenses were temporarily withdrawn. During the inspections, 7 thousand 630 traffic rule violations were detected and action was taken.
