The headlines of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s speech are as follows;
At the beginning of my words, I congratulate you on your blessed Eid-al-Adha. Today, of course, we celebrate two holidays together, also on Friday. Both our brothers from Rize and Artvin and we are having a sad holiday due to the disasters in our region. There was material damage in our district. The flood disaster that took place last week, on the other hand, caused very serious destruction throughout our Rize.
While 8 of our citizens who were caught in the flood disappeared, 5 of our citizens were injured. While the bodies of 6 of our disappeared citizens have been reached, intensive efforts are being made to reach 2 of our citizens.
I wish God’s mercy to our citizens who lost their lives in the flood disaster so far, and patience to their families and loved ones. Once again, I say goodbye. I send my best wishes to my brothers in Artvin Arhavi. From the moment we received the news of the disaster, we mobilized all the means of the state.
So far, 2860 personnel, 328 of which are search and rescue, and 705 vehicles have served. Almost all of the 426 roads that were closed due to the disaster were opened to traffic. Water is supplied to the entire disaster area, and there is no problem in drinking water, energy, communication or communication.
Relevant aids have been started to be given to our citizens who were damaged by the flood. A total of 3 million liras were delivered to our citizens out of the 18 million liras allocated to our province for urgent needs. Damage assessments in the center of Rize, Çayveli, Güneysu and 119 villages were completed within 2 days by working on a 24/7 basis.
We are putting our projects into use to heal the wounds quickly. Through TOKİ, we started our projects in the 4 districts most affected by the flood. We will build our local village houses in the villages and our houses in the center. We will build 550 houses for those affected by the flood disaster on July 15 throughout Rize. We will complete our housing within a year and bring our citizens back to their safe homes. May our brothers and sisters from Artvin from Rize, who were affected by the flood, rest in peace. Our state is with them with all its means.
