Relic Entertainment has finally announced that they will be releasing Age of Empires IV in October 2021. The announcement comes from the Xbox + Bethesda Games Showcase event.
A few days ago, this game was removed from PC (Steam) due to a significant asset leak. But after the official announcement, Age of Empires IV back again.
Fixed Release Date
So far, we only know that this game will release in the fall of 2021. Now we have confirmed that Age of Empires IV will release on Xbox Game Pass and PC (Steam) on October 28, 2021.

Two New Civilizations
Relic Entertainment also announced 2 new civilizations. The two are the Abbasid and French dynasties.
The focus of the Abbasid dynasty was technology. Supported by their country, players have unique upgrade opportunities. Their unique units also include Camel Archers and Riders.
France is revealed in conjunction with the “100 Years War” campaign, allowing players to put themselves in the battles fought between England and France in the 14th and 15th centuries.
France thrived on trade. Royal Knights is one of civilization’s special units with terrifying attacking abilities.
Later there will be a French heroine who will return to Age of Empires IV, namely Joan of Arc. For those who have played Age of Empires II, you might fall in love with this one character.
Relic Entertainment also gives a brief overview of the sea battles in Age of Empires IV. This battle adds a new meaning to “sink or swim”.
