The Netherlands beat Ukraine 3-2 in a breathtaking match in Group C of the 2020 European Football Championship (EURO 2020).
The Netherlands, one of the hosts of the 2020 European Football Championship (EURO 2020), faced Ukraine in the first match of Group C played at the Johan Cruyff Arena in the capital Amsterdam.
Ukrainian goalkeeper Bushchan swept the middle from Dumfries into the penalty box in the Dutch attack that developed from the right wing in the 52nd minute. Wijnaldum, who came from behind, brought the situation to 1-0 with a shot without waiting.
In the 58th minute, Dumfries’ Dutch attack, which the defense tried to remove, was in front of Weghorst. Weghorst gave the Netherlands a 2-0 lead with a shot from close range.
