Electric buses, which entered service in Kayseri in 2019 within the scope of practices aimed at saving in public transportation, make a significant contribution to both the fight against environmental pollution and the reduction of fuel costs.
395 thousand liras of fuel was saved
While 395 thousand liras of fuel was saved on the roads covered 130 thousand 500 kilometers by electric buses, 103 tons of carbon dioxide emission was prevented.
On the other hand, smart irrigation, LED lighting and smart intersection projects are carried out in many points of the city with “smart city” applications in line with the Presidency’s circular containing 2023 targets on energy saving.
The municipality also contributes to the economy with the project of producing fertilizer from vegetable wastes.
