National athletes won 10 medals at the World Deaf World Karate Championship held in Tehran, the capital of Iran.
According to the statement made by the Turkish Deaf Sports Federation, Turkey completed the organization with a total of 10 medals, 2 gold, 3 silver and 5 bronze.
While Sabri Kıroğlu became the champion in the men’s individual kata category in the organization, the Men’s Kata National Team consisting of Fatih Çiçek, Burak Mert Can and Sabri Kıroğlu also won the gold medal.

Silver medal: Burak Mert Can (Kumite – 67 kg), Zeynep Erdoğam (Kumite – 68 kg), Mehmet Şahin (Kumite 84 kg)
Bronze medal: Sinem Özkan (Kumite – 61 kg), Gamze Keresteci (Kumite 68 kg)
