According to national media reports, unidentified people attacked Tillia and Tahoua towns of Tahoua city.
25 civilians lost their lives in the two attacks.
Armed attackers looted public buildings such as the town hall and health centres, then set fire to them and fled the area.
It is stated that there is no electricity in the towns of Tillia and Tahoua, as electrical systems were damaged in the attacks.

Human Rights Watch (HRW) announced that from January to July, 420 civilians were killed in 9 terrorist attacks on Niger’s border with Mali and Burkina Faso.
