Speaking at the press conference held after his meeting with Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu, who made an official visit to Tehran, Iranian Interior Minister Ahmed Vahidi evaluated the relations between the two countries.
Vahidi said that a deeper new era will begin in the relations between Turkey and Iran that will serve the interests of the people of the two countries.
“We will not allow the conspirators to invent problems in the relations between Iran and Turkey. Iran and Turkey have shown their will to expand strategic relations. This friendly country is a good start to deepen relations with Turkey.”
Developments in Afghanistan discussed
Stating that they had very important meetings with Interior Minister Soylu on the fight against terrorism, border security, cooperation in the fields of drug and weapons smuggling, Vahidi said that they also discussed the “destructive role of Israel and the USA” and the developments in Afghanistan.
