Stating that the construction works on the dam are continuing, Yıldız said, “With the completion of Aksıfat Dam, which was built for irrigation, drinking water and energy production, 82 thousand 149 decares of land will be irrigated. 8,33 cubic meters of drinking water will be provided to the settlements of Silifke and Erdemli districts annually. With the power plant with an installed power of 25 megawatts, 8.25 gigawatt hours of energy will be produced annually. used the phrase.

Yıldız stated that the body filling and heel plate of Aksıfat Dam, which will be 83 meters high, has been completed and said:

We will continue our work without slowing down so that all the works are completed and the dam can provide benefits to our citizens from Mersin as soon as possible. The water storage capacity is 60.62 million cubic meters. With the completion of Aksıfat Dam, it is aimed to provide employment for 8,215 people, and to contribute 198 million TL annually to the country’s economy with 2021 unit prices.
