In the event held in Cumhuriyet Square, women’s handicraft products were exhibited in the stands set up, and various demonstrations were held by the students.
In the event, where gifts were given to the students who ranked in the competitions, local dishes made by women were also offered for sale.
District Governor Erdem Karanfil, in his speech after the program, said that schools and citizens could not come together for a long time.
Stating that the students could not have fun either, Karanfil said, “Due to the epidemic, our schools even keep the holidays short, events were not held. With the start of face-to-face education, the citizen-student meeting was held with the fall festivals. Our children had a lot of fun. We would like to thank our municipality and the District Directorate of National Education for their efforts in this matter.” he said.
Deputy Mayor Mehmet Ata Dönmez, directors of institutions, citizens and students attended the event.
