President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who is in the United States (USA) for the United Nations (UN) meeting, named the unborn children of the couple from Trabzon living in the USA.
“A Fairer World Is Possible”, organized by the Turkish-American National Steering Committee (TASC) at The Manhattan Center, attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who is in the United States (USA) to attend the United Nations (UN) General Assembly meetings. Faruk Kanca, a lecturer from Trabzon, who lives in the USA, performed the opening music at the conference. Faruk Kanca, who wanted to show the tolerance of Islam with music, which is a universal language, performed works with the theme of Yunus Emre and won the admiration of the audience.
Receiving faculty member Faruk Kanca and his wife, Rutgers University doctoral student special education teacher Çilem Kanca, after the conference, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan gave names to the new born children of the Kanca couple, who are waiting to welcome their 4th child. Named ‘Ayşe Betül’ for the couple’s unborn child, President Erdoğan posed for a souvenir photo with the couple. President Erdoğan also presented a double Cumhuriyet gold for the baby.
“It was a good moment for us”
Stating that she was very excited at the meeting, Çilem Kanca said, “We are very happy that Mr. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan accepted us. We will have our fourth child in our arms in a short time. Our President gave our child’s name when he learned that I was pregnant. He honored us very much. We thank him very much. My wife and I are from Trabzon. “We have been in America for about 10 years. My wife is from Sürmeneli and I am from Oflu. It was a good memory for us to meet with our President,” he said.
