Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kazemi spoke at the event called “International Conference for the Return of Stolen Property” held in Baghdad.
Saying that corruption was committed even during the sectarian war period (2006-2008) in the country, Kazimi said, “Building an established state consists of confronting our people. Our main goal from the first day is to fight corruption. For this, we have established a joint committee with the judiciary and transparency institution. This committee has been serving 17 years in a year. uncovered an undisclosed corruption file.” made its assessment.

Iraqi Justice Minister Salar Abdussettar pointed out that the conference targeted those who stole public goods, and said, “International efforts are weak in the return of stolen goods. The goods taken out of the country must be returned with international support. Our government insists on the return of all goods smuggled abroad.” he said.
Speaking at the conference in question, Arab League Secretary General Ahmet Ebu Gayt shared the following views:
“As the Arab League, we attach importance to the fight against corruption. The Conference on the Return of Stolen Property is an important step in the fight against corruption. Fighting corruption is a difficult task and requires constant cooperation. This cooperation is important to curb corruption.”
