Apple has officially launched its newest smartwatch, the Watch Series 7 along with the 9th Generation iPad and iPad mini. The Cupertino-based tech giant claims that the Watch Series 7 is its newest, most powerful smartwatch ever.
With slimmer bezels, the Apple Watch Series 7 comes with a bigger screen. In fact, Apple also boasts that up to 50 percent additional text can be crammed into its screen compared to the Apple Watch Series 6.
The Apple Watch Series 7 starts at $399 and offers a more interactive display with a full keyboard with swipe functions. In addition, the Watch Series 7 has also been equipped with several new watch faces that can be adapted to the much larger display available on the device.
However, the Watch Series 7 still retains the toughness that has become an integral part of Apple’s design philosophy. The smartwatch has an IP6X water and dust resistance rating, and is available in two sizes – 41mm and 45mm. These are some improvements over previous Apple watches in terms of size.
The Apple Watch Series 7 is said to come with the same sensors and processor as its predecessor, the Watch Series 6. However, the Watch Series 7 will run on the new watchOS 8 interface with lots of amazing features and improved algorithms.
The battery is also huge – offering up to 18 hours of normal use on a full charge. The smartwatch charges via USB-C which offers up to 33% greater charging speed than the USB-A charging port.
Interestingly, Apple says that charging the device for 8 minutes offers up to 8 hours of battery life. More features are also included by Apple to the Watch Series 7, including the new Outdoor Cycling function that supports a more responsive outdoor cycling system.
This smartwatch is also enriched by Apple with Fall Support to handle emergencies for better security. The Watch Series 7 will be available this fall. There are five color variants that will be launched by Apple, namely Black, Blue, Gold, Red and Dark Green.
