In the Bodrum district of MUĞLA, 44 irregular migrants pushed into Turkish territorial waters by Greek soldiers in 2 separate incidents were rescued by the Coast Guard Command teams.
Upon receiving the information that there was a group of immigrants in a rubber boat off Muğla-Bodrum at night, the Coast Guard Command boat, which was assigned, went to the specified place. Eight irregular migrants in rubber boats pushed back into Turkish territorial waters by Greek elements were rescued.
In the morning, the Coast Guard Command, who received information that there was a group of irregular migrants in a rubber boat off the coast of Bodrum, rescued 36 more immigrants, including women and children, who were pushed back into Turkish territorial waters by the Greek soldiers.
A total of 44 irregular migrants rescued in two incidents were brought to Bodrum Port and underwent a health check. It has been reported that the immigrants will be handed over to the Muğla Migration Management.
