OPPO will introduce memory expansion technology on the Reno5 and Reno5 5G devices for the Indonesian region through an online software update. Previously, this feature was present for the first time on the OPPO A74 4G device in the territory of Indonesia in the third week of May.
As explained by Aryo Meidianto A, PR Manager of OPPO Indonesia, the memory expansion feature will provide a new experience for Reno5 and Reno5 5G users in Indonesia. This innovative technology will allow users to make customizations to improve the performance of the device used.
“With the presence of the memory expansion feature, OPPO Reno5 and OPPO Reno5 5G users can virtually expand the RAM capacity of their devices. “No half-hearted, the increase can be up to a total of 11 GB,” said Aryo.
Memory expansion is the latest technology available on certain OPPO smartphones that allows users to convert a portion of the internal storage alias ROM into virtual RAM. The method is very easy, namely by activating the RAM Expansion option.
Reno5 and Reno5 5G users will be given the freedom to make adjustments with the 3 levels of virtual RAM provided, starting from 3 GB to a maximum of 5 GB. After this option is activated, the selected amount of internal storage will be converted into virtual RAM when the device is restarted.
With the memory expansion feature, users can enjoy increased performance for various applications that require high RAM usage, such as playing games or editing photos and videos. This feature also provides a smooth operating system effect when running multiple applications simultaneously.
Once this feature is active, the user can check the details of virtual RAM expansion via information about the device or on the recent task screen. After the OPPO A74 4G, devices that have this feature through the next OTA (Over The Air) software update are the Reno5 4G and Reno5 5G in June.
