It was announced that the Kovid-19 test of 8 Asian lions was positive at the Nehru zoo in Hyderabad, India, the epicenter of the coronavirus.
The Kovid-19 test was applied when symptoms such as cough and anorexia were observed in lions caught coronavirus.
The Center for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB) announced that the virus was detected in 8 lions, 4 male and 4 female, out of a total of 12 lions in the zoo.
Zoo Manager Dr Siddhanand Kukrety said: “It is true that lions show symptoms of Kovid-19. “Experts launched an investigation to find out how lions were infected,” he said.
